This was what greeted us at 6am. A council ute parked across the highway to block off the main road!

Down on the lakeshore things were very quiet - I think most of the tourists were a bit stunned to see so much snow

As we drove south-east we saw this tremendous contrast between the rolling green hills and the mountains in the not so far distance.
